Lots of people from the St Martin’s church family used to enjoy going to the Detling Summer Conference until it ended four years ago. Since it stopped we have run our own church weekend on the first weekend in August. This year’s event, on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of August, is being called ‘Blessing the Marsh’.
Dave Bilbrough, a well known and much appreciated worship leader, is booked for a worship evening on Friday the 3rd August. Click here to find out more about Dave and links to listen to his songs, or click www.davebilbrough.com to go Dave’s website. We are not calling this a concert – it is an evening of worship led by Dave Bilbrough.
On Saturday, 4th August, Philip Crocker is leading a day about Local Houses of Prayer on behalf of Ffald-y-Brenin. To find out more click here.
There’s a bring and share lunch on Saturday and a social evening with a Bar-B-Q on Saturday evening. Everyone is welcome. Weather permitting our Sunday Service on the 5th will be outdoors in the church yard. This is not just for the St Martin’s church family. Everyone is welcome.
Blessing the Marsh is being held at St Martin’s Church. Scroll down to the bottom for an address and map. The Worship Evening starts at 7.00pm, the Ffalyd-y-Brenin Day at 10.00 am, the Saturday evening social at 5pm and Sunday’s outdoor service at 10.45 am.
There is no charge for the Dave Bilbrough worship evening or the Ffald-y-Brenin day, – although there will be a retiring collection for Ffald-y-Brenin. There is no charge, but you do please need to book a ticket. Dave Bilbrough and Ffalyd-y-Brenin are popular and we have a limited capacity in St M’s, so we might have to restrict attendance. Hence asking you to register. Tickets will be available on a first come, first served basis. You can register for one of the events if you don’t want to come to both.
To book a ticket please send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
